Specialist (Raveler Archetype)
Sphere Specialization
At 1st level, the specialist chooses a single combat or magic sphere in which to specialize in. If the specialist also has the casting raveler archetype they cannot choose a combat sphere, and if they have the martial raveler archetype they cannot choose a magic sphere.
If they choose a combat sphere, they gain the benefits of the conscript’s sphere specialization for the chosen combat sphere using their raveler level in place of their conscript level. Rather than using their conscript level to determine their effective base attack bonus or Hit Dice for that sphere, they instead treat their base attack bonus or Hit Dice as +1 higher when determining that sphere's effects. The specialist can choose sub-specializations for their chosen combat sphere if they wish to.
If they choose a magic sphere, they gain the benefits of the incanter’s sphere specialization for the chosen magic sphere using their raveler level in place of their incanter level. The specialist can choose sub-specializations for their chosen magic sphere if they wish.
At 3rd level, and every 2 levels thereafter, the specialist gains a bonus talent from their selected sphere.
Reduced Progression
The specialist gains one fewer combat or magic talent at 1st level, and every 2 levels thereafter from their blended training class feature.
If they are a casting raveler, they instead gain one fewer magic talent from their magic talents class feature at those levels.
If they are a martial raveler, they are instead treated as a Proficient combatant when determining their combat talents granted by their combat training.
This modifies the raveler’s blended talents, casting raveler’s magic talents, or martial raveler’s combat training.
