The following are new skinwalker heritages.

Werespider-kin (Storyweaver)

These skinwalkers are consummate tricksters, constantly weaving webs of intrigue and deceit. Despite this their trickery is done for benevolent purposes as often as for malevolent or self-interest ones. When storyweavers take on their bestial form, they typically grow up to 3 pairs of small vestigial eyes on their foreheads, sprout patches of bristly black hair on their skin, and their canines become needle sharp.

Bestial Features

  • Bite attack that deals 1d6 points of damage
  • Darkvision 60 feet
  • Climb speed of 30 feet
  • Poison Use: Storyweavers are skilled in the use of poison and never accidentally poison themselves when using or applying poison.

Spider-kin Racial Traits

The following race traits are available to werespider-kin and werespiders.

Vestigial Venom Glands: You possess hollow fangs and nonfunctional venom glands. Once per day as a standard action, you can ingest a dose of an injury poison storing it within your own body safely.The next time you successfully attack a creature with a bite attack, that attack delivers this poison. You can only store a single dose of injury poison in your body at a time, ingesting another dose destroys the first.

Arachnid Empathy: You have an instinctual understanding of the workings of an arachnid's mind. You treat arachnids, such as spiders and scorpions, as being animals for the purposes of the Handle Animal skill and the spell speak with animals. Additionally, when training mindless arachnids you treat them as having an Intelligence of 1 when deciding how many tricks they can learn.

Spider-kin Feats

Akashic Talespinner (Akashic)

You have committed a specific story to heart and memory. You dedication this tale has expanded your mastery of it, when you call it forth from the akashic records.

Prerequisites: Ability to shape veils, Perform (any) 5 ranks

Benefit: Choose a veil set (ex. Angelic ArmamentsCo7SAT or Spider’s Stories). When you have 3 or more veils from that set shaped, your essence capacity for all veils you have shaped from that set is increased by 1. This does not stack with the feat Enhanced Capacity or other increases to essence capacity not derived from class abilities or veilweaver level.

Enlarged Spider Shape (Racial)

You can take the form of a large spider.

Prerequisite: Cha 13, Spider Shape, base attack bonus +3, werespider-kin.

Benefit: When you use Spider Shape to become a spider, you can choose to become a spider or giant black widow spiderB2.

Special: If you also have the Mystic Spinnerets feat, you gain its benefits while under the effects of this feat. You are always treated as having a free hand for the purposes of using Lashing Spinnerets while in this form.

Mystic Spinnerets (Akashic, Racial)

Your ancestors were long in the practice of weaving many things including webs, lies, and even the fabric of magic. You have inherited a small measure of their talents.

Prerequisites: Character level 3rd, werespider-kin.

Benefit: You gain the akashic subtypeAM. While in your bestial form you are always considered to have the Lashing Spinnerets veil shaped and you do not count it against your total veils shaped or veil slots. As this veil does not count against your veil slots or chakras, you can still shape a different veil into the same slot as Lashing Spinnerets freely.

You gain 1 point of essence.

Spider Shape (Racial)

Your mastery over your form is great enough to allow you to transform into a true spider.

Prerequisite: Cha 13, werespider-kin

Benefit: You can take the form of a spider(use the scarlet spider statistics presented in the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Ultimate Magic) whose appearance is static and cannot be changed each time you assume this form. You gain a +10 racial bonus on Disguise checks to appear as a spider. Changing from werespider-kin to spider shape is a standard action. This ability otherwise functions as vermin shape IIUM, and your ability scores change accordingly.

Special: If you also have the Mystic Spinnerets feat, you gain its benefits while under the effects of this feat. You are always treated as having a free hand for the purposes of using Lashing Spinnerets while in this form.
