Reality Striker (Raveler Archetype)
Unweave Reality (Su)
At 2nd level, the reality striker has learned to utilize their ability to weave and unweave magic offensively to unweave the very magic that makes up objects and creatures. The reality striker may use this ability in one of two ways, an unweaving burst or an unweaving strike.
Unweaving Burst: The reality striker fires a burst of unweaving energy as a standard action that provokes attacks of opportunity, making a ranged touch attack against a single creature or unattended object within Medium range (100 feet + 10 feet per level). The struck target takes damage equal to 1d6 + the higher of reality striker’s casting ability modifier or practitioner modifier. This damage increases by a further 1d6 at 5th level, and every 3 levels thereafter. Only the first d6 of damage is multiplied on a critical hit, and this damage ignores the struck targets damage reduction and resistances. This damage is not halved when dealing damage to objects, but is still affected by an object's hardness.
At 8th level, and again at 15th level, when the reality striker uses this ability they may fire an additional burst of energy. The second burst fired in this way suffers a -5 penalty to its attack roll, and the third ray fired suffers a -10 penalty to its attack roll.
Unweaving Assault: The reality striker infuses their weapon with energy that unweaves that which it strikes. As a standard action, the reality striker makes a single attack with a weapon they are wielding, dealing an additional 1d6 points of damage on a successful hit. This damage increases by a further 1d6 at 5th level, and every 3 levels thereafter. This damage is not multiplied on a critical hit, and ignores the struck target’s damage reduction and resistances. This additional damage is not halved when dealing damage to objects, but is still affected by an object's hardness.
At 8th level, and again at 15th level, when the reality striker uses this ability they may make an additional attack using their infused weapon. The second attack made in this way suffers a -5 penalty to its attack roll, and the third attack made in this way suffers a -10 penalty to its attack roll.
This replaces the raveler’s bonus talents gained at levels 2, 8, 14, and 20. A martial raveler and casting raveler can also select this archetype, replacing their bonus combat talents or bonus magic talents gained at levels 2, 8, 14, and 20 instead.
