Proficiencies

The prescient pugilist is proficient with simple weapons, as well as light armor and bucklers. In addition, if this is the character’s first level in any class, she may select a martial tradition of his choice.

This alters weapon and armor proficiencies.

Casting

The prescient pugilist may combine spheres and talents to create magic effects. The prescient pugilist is considered a Low-Caster. (Note: All casters gain 2 bonus talents and may select a casting tradition the first time they gain the casting class feature.)

This replaces the AC bonus class feature.

Spell Pool

The prescient pugilist gains a small reservoir of energy she can call on to create truly wondrous effects, called a spell pool. This pool contains a number of spell points equal to her level + her casting ability modifier (minimum 1). This pool replenishes once per day after roughly 8 hours of rest.

Blended Training

A prescient pugilist gains a combat or magic talent every time she gains a class level. A prescient pugilist uses her casting ability modifier as her practitioner ability modifier.

This replaces the bonus feats class feature.

Prescient Combat

At 1st level, the prescient pugilist must choose the Divination sphere with the first talent she gains from this class, and gains either the Boxing sphere or Open Hand sphere as a bonus combat sphere. Additionally, the talents she possesses within the Divination sphere count towards her unarmed damage progression.

This replaces unarmed strike.

Portent Strike

At 2nd level, the prescient pugilist can make a portent strike with a melee weapon as a special attack action or as part of readying a counter punch. If she performs a portent strike by readying a counter punch, it is considered a special attack action.

When doing so, she adds one of the following benefits to her portent strike, depending on what spheres she possesses. If she possesses more than one of the listed spheres, she may choose from either of them whenever she uses her portent strike ability. The prescient pugilist can choose from the following portent strikes:

Gauging Strike

If her portent strike successfully deals damage to the target, the prescient pugilist learns one of the following pieces of information from the damaged creature (Will negates): their AC, their CMD, one of their saving throw bonuses, a vulnerability, an immunity, or a resistance (and its value).

The prescient pugilist can spend a spell point as an immediate action when she uses this ability to also gain the benefits of one of the following alternate divinations from the Divination sphere for 1 round (even if she does not possess the talent), but only affecting the damaged creature (Will negates): Detect Faetouched, Divine Alignment, Divine Allegiance, Divine Charm, Divine Fate, Divine Illusions, Divine Life, Divine Mana Capacity, Divine Shadow, Divine Shapechanger, Divine Undead, or Divine Unnaturals.

Finesse (Open Hand)

Unerring Blow

If the attack roll made as part of her portent strike would have a natural roll equal to or lower than her practitioner modifier (minimum 2), she is treated as if she had rolled an amount equal to her practitioner modifier (minimum 2) + 1 instead. A natural roll of a 1 still results in an automatic failure.

Additionally, if her attack roll as part of the portent strike misses the creature by 5 or less, the attack becomes a glancing hit. A glancing hit deals its weapon’s damage dice, but does not add any additional damage modifiers (such as her Strength bonus or using the Power Attack or Vital Strike feats), nor does it add additional damage or effects that trigger from a successful attack (such as poison).

Split Sight

At 8th level, the prescient pugilist chooses two possible enemies for the attack, then rolls a d20 for each target. She then chooses which target to attack, using the d20 rolled for that enemy as their attack roll.

If she successfully hits the chosen target, she gains a +2 insight bonus to her AC and saving throws made against attacks and abilities originating from both enemies until the beginning of her next turn. This bonus increases by 1 for every 10 brawler levels she possesses.

Lingering Vigilance

At 15th level, the prescient pugilist ignores the miss chance for anything less than total concealment the target may possess, and treats total concealment as if the target had normal concealment (20% miss chance). Additionally, if the prescient pugilist’s attack is successful, she may spend a spell point to be able to pinpoint the damaged creature’s exact location for a number of rounds equal to her practitioner modifier, as long as they remain on the same plane.

Patience (Boxing)

Farsighted Trigger

The prescient pugilist rolls one d20 as part of readying her counter punch. Whenever she would trigger her counter punch, she may either replace her attack roll with the d20 rolled as part of using this ability, or make her attack roll as normal. If her portent strike successfully hits the target, she may reroll all rolled 1s and 2s when rolling her weapon damage dice for all damage rolls she makes until the beginning of her next turn.

Patience Makes Perfect

At 8th level, if the prescient pugilist triggers her counter punch, she can instead decide to wait for another trigger. If she manages to trigger her counter punch again before the start of her turn, the critical threat range of the counter punch increases by 1, in addition to maximizing the damage dealt by her counter punch. This includes bonus damage dice from a successful critical hit, but not from Vital Strike or similar effects. The increase to critical threat range applies after other modifiers, such as the keen weapon property or the Improved Critical feat

Precognitive Smash

At 15th level, if her portent strike successfully hits the target, they become unable to benefit from dodge or insight bonuses until the end of prescient pugilist’s next turn; she can spend a spell point as a free action that can be taken outside of her turn when she triggers this ability to force the target to succeed at a Will saving throw (against her Boxing sphere DC) or be flat-footed until the end of the prescient pugilist’s next turn. This effect can be removed by the Restore Spirit talent of the Life sphere.

This replaces brawler’s flurry.

Extrasensory Striker

At 5th level, whenever the prescient pugilist would successfully damage a creature when using her portent strike ability, she may use her sense ability as an immediate action as long as she casts it before the end of her turn. The prescient pugilist must pay any costs associated with the chosen (sense) talent as normal, and reduces the duration of the sense to 1 round per caster level she possesses. Additionally, the prescient pugilist may expend her martial focus as part of using a portent strike to apply two of the listed benefits instead of one.

This replaces close weapon mastery.
