Spheres of Power

Martial Raveler (Raveler Archetype)

unwoven
Akashic Spheres: Unwoven Magic
$7.50
These ravelers forgo their spellcasting abilities to instead focus their reality warping powers entirely on their martial abilities.

Combat Training

A martial raveler combines spheres and talents to create powerful martial techniques. Martial ravelers are considered Expert combatants. When they gain their first level in this class, martial ravelers may choose either Charisma, Intelligence or Wisdom as their practitioner modifier.

This replaces the raveler’s casting and blended training class features.

Bonus Talents

At 1st level, 2nd level, and every 2 levels thereafter, the martial raveler gains a bonus combat talent in addition to those gained from their combat training class feature.

Martial Ravels

A martial raveler uses their practitioner modifier to determine their ravel modifier.

This modifies the raveler’s ravels class feature, but not for the purposes of archetype compatibility.

Focused Mightweaving (Su)

When using their mightweaving ability, the martial raveler treats their Base Attack Bonus and skill ranks with that ability as 2 higher instead. This bonus further increases by 1 at 4th level, and every 3 levels thereafter.

This replaces the raveler’s spellweaving class feature and modifies their mightweaving class feature.

Bonus Feats

At 3rd level, the martial raveler gains a bonus feat. This may be used to gain any ravel, combat or teamwork feat the martial raveler qualifies for. When acquiring combat feats, the martial raveler counts 1/2 their total ravel level as their fighter level for the purpose of qualifying for feats. If they have levels in fighter, these levels stack.

At 5th level, and again at 9th, 11th, 15th, and 17th level they gain an additional bonus feat, as above.

This replaces the raveler’s bonus feats, combat casting, improved combat casting, greater combat casting, and metaweaving class features.

Variant High-BAB Martial Raveler

A martial raveler can choose to take the following variant to their archetype, granting them greater combat ability in exchange for reduced capabilities in other areas.

Hit Dice

The martial raveler’s Hit Dice from their raveler levels is increased to d10.

This modifies the martial raveler’s Hit Dice.

Base Attack Bonus

A martial raveler’s base attack bonus granted by their raveler levels is equal to their class level.

This modifies the martial raveler’s base attack bonus.

Limited Will

A martial raveler’s bonus to their Will saves granted by their raveler levels is reduced to low scaling, equivalent to their normal Fortitude saving throw bonus progression.

This modifies the martial raveler’s saving throw bonuses.

Class Skills

The martial raveler does not gain Knowledge (Nature), Knowledge (Planes), Knowledge (Religion), Spellcraft, or Use Magic Device as class skills.

This modifies the martial raveler’s class skills.

Limited Mightweaving

Focusing more heavily on their martial training has somewhat reduced the martial raveler’s ability to unweave their ravels for raw power. The martial raveler does not gain the focused mightweaving class feature, instead using the progression of a normal raveler when determining the effects of their mightweaving.

This replaces the martial raveler’s focused mightweaving class feature and the raveler’s magicweaving class feature.
