Trade Tradition [SM—]
If this is this character’s first level in any class, the champion symbiat may select a trade tradition of their choice, and have a competent trade rank. The champion symbiat gains a number of skill ranks at each level equal to 4 + their Intelligence modifier.
This replaces the symbiat’s normal class skills.
Proficiencies
Champion symbiats are proficient with simple weapons, as well as light armor and bucklers. In addition, if this is this character’s first level in any class, they may select a martial tradition of their choice.
This alters proficiencies.
Blended Training
A champion symbiat gains a combat or magic talent every time they gain a caster level. Champion symbiats use their casting ability modifier as their practitioner modifier.
Addendum: [SM—] Alternatively, A champion symbiat may gain a combat, magic, or skill talent (some of which are required to be utility talents) at the listed levels using the journeyman talent progression. A champion symbiat may exchange the danger sense, uncanny dodge, and improved uncanny dodge class features to instead gain talents as per the virtuoso talent progression. A champion symbiat uses his casting ability modifier as his practitioner modifier.
This replaces the magic talents class feature.
Greater Training
The champion symbiat may choose to exchange the danger sense, uncanny dodge, and improved uncanny dodge class features to improve their blended training, gaining a combat or magic talent at every class level (instead of every time they gain a caster level).
This optionally replaces danger sense, uncanny dodge, and improved uncanny dodge. A champion symbiat may not take this option if they possess an archetype that would alter or replace the exchanged class features.
Nuanced Psionics [SM—]
All symbiat class features use the champion symbiat’s casting ability score to calculate their effects rather than Intelligence.
