Those who use the path of the Daevic to follow the destructive ideals of the daeva Aeshma have taken the title of the Aeshmic. These terrifying foes have given up some of their potential with veils to harness destructive martial prowess alongside more varied magical potential.

Proficiencies

Aeshmic are proficient with simple weapons and light armor. In addition, if this is this character’s first level in any class, they may select a martial tradition of their choice.

This modifies the daevic’s normal proficiencies.

Casting

An aeshmic may combine spheres and talents to create magical effects. The aeshmic is considered a Low-Caster. (Note: All casters gain 2 bonus talents and may select a casting tradition the first time they gain the casting class feature.)

This replaces the daevic’s daevic veilweaving class feature, and the daevic’s feet, hands, wrists, shoulders, belt, neck, and chest chakra binds.

Spell Pool

An aeshmic gains a small reservoir of energy they can call on to create truly wondrous effects, called a spell pool. This pool contains a number of spell points equal to their level + their casting ability modifier (minimum: 1). This pool replenishes once per day after roughly 8 hours of rest.

Blended Training

At each class level, the aeshmic gains their choice of a combat or magic talent. Aeshmics use their casting ability modifier as their practitioner modifier.

Aeshmic Veilweaving

An aeshmic gains the ability to shape a small selection of veils determined by their passion. They can shape one passion veil at 1st level, gaining the ability to shape an additional passion veil at 4th, 10th, and 15th levels. The aeshmic also gains access to a special veil slot, Blood.

Blood veils often have powerful effects but can cause extreme physical stress or even bodily harm to the veilweaver. They use their casting ability modifier as their veilweaving modifier.

Essence

At 1st level, an aeshmic gains access to a pool of essence which they can use to invest their veils. They gain 1 point of essence at 1st level, and an additional point at 4th level, and every 4 levels thereafter.
